Sick-Day Citrus Smoothie
Yield: 4 servings Cooking Time: 10 minutes Difficulty: Easy

Directions:

  1. Make a simple syrup by bring sugar and water to a boil. Once all of the sugar has dissolved stir and remove from heat and cool.
  2. In a blender combine syrup, yogurt, orange juice, bananas, tangerine sections, orange zest, vanilla and ice.   Blend until creamy and smooth.
  3. Serve and garnish with mint.

  • ½ cup - water
  • ⅓ cup - sugar
  • 2 cups - orange greek yogurt
  • 1 ¼ cups - orange juice
  • 2 - bananas, sliced
  • 1 - tangerine, sectioned
  • 2 tablespoons - orange zest
  • 2 teaspoons - vanilla extract
  • 1 cup - ice, crushed
  • mint, for garnish
