Ultimate Cheeseburger
Ingredients:
- 1 pound Ground Beef Chuck
- 1 pound Ground Beef Sirloin
- 2 tablespoons Ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- Kosher Salt
- Fresh Ground Black Pepper
- 8 Buttered and Toasted Buns
- 8 Slices Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- Lettuce, Tomato, and Pickles for garnish
- Mayo and Ketchup (optional)
- Basting Sauce:
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 crushed Garlic Cloves
- 1 teaspoon Hot Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Mustard Powder
- 2 tablespoons Ketchup
- 2 tablespoons Water or White Wine
Directions:
- Heat outdoor grill if available or indoor grill pan to a medium high heat.
- Mix the ground beef with the ketchup, Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper. Split the ground beef mixture into 8 equal portions and form evenly round burger patties.
- Combine all the ingredients for the basting sauce in a small bowl and mix.
- Place the burger patties on the preheated grill/grill pan and cook for about 8 minutes for medium and 10-12 minutes for well-done turning once. Baste each side of the burger with the basting sauce at least twice during the cooking process. If desired top with cheese once the burgers are cooked.
- Assemble the cooked burgers with the prepared buns, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. Enjoy with your favorite side dishes!
