Fabulous Flan
Ingredients:
- 1 can - evaporated milk
- 1 can - sweetened condensed milk
- 4 - eggs
- 1 cup - sugar
- 1 teaspoon - almond extract
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 ºF.
- Caramelize sugar in a saucepan over low heat. Careful not to overcook the sugar as it would cause a very bitter taste to the flan. Pour into the bottom of a medium round baking dish.
- Mix evaporated milk, condensed milk, eggs and almond extract in a blender. Pour on top of sugar.
- Place round baking dish in a large deep baking pan filled halfway with water. Cook 30-35 minutes or until the center of the flan is set. Allow to cool overnight.
- Invert the cooled flan to a plate showing the caramelized sugar on top.
