Directions:

  1. Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. Combine the sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the egg and beat until well blended.
  4. Next, add the dry ingredients.
  5. Mix in the apples and nuts, then stir in the hot water.
  6. Bake in a greased 9-inch pie pan for 40 minutes
  7. Serve warm.
