Rockin’ Raisin & Apple Strudel
Yield: 4 servings Cooking Time: 50 minutes Difficulty: Easy

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF.
  2. Toss apples with lemon juice. Add raisins, sugar and cubed butter. Mix well.
  3. Cut pastry dough into four inch squares.
  4. Spoon apple mixture in center of dough.
  5. Fold edges in to center to create an envelope.
  6. Brush pastry with melted butter.
  7. Sprinkle with remaining sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes until flaky and golden brown.

  • 2 - red apples, peeled, cored, sliced thin
  • ¼ cup - lemon juice

  • ½ cup - raisins
  • ⅓ cup - sugar
  • 2 tablespoons - sugar, for dusting

  • 2 tablespoons - butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons - flour
  • 1 sheet - refrigerated puff pastry dough
  • 1 teaspoon - cinnamon, ground
